GovLiveby Switchboard Live

Public meeting video for cities without a video department.

GovLive takes the meeting the city already runs, in Zoom, Teams or the camera system it has, and handles everything the clerk and the comms office answer for on the web: the live stream with captions, the recording with captions on it, the chapters that match the agenda, the page the city website links to, and the copy on the city's social channel.

It does not run the meeting, write the agenda, draft the minutes or operate the cable channel. It works alongside the tools that do.

GovLive is a product line of Switchboard Live, which has carried live video for organizations since 2016. GovLive is that experience built for one person, the clerk, at a price a city of 8,000 can approve without a committee.

What is included at opening

When and how cities pay

GovLive opens to founding cities soon. The dates that matter are the ones that do not move: and . The founding window covers the first 500 cities or the first 90 days after opening, whichever comes first. We post an exact opening date only once the service is ready to go online.

Cities pay by card, or by invoice on net 15 terms. Purchase orders come later.

If you already have video

If you have a cable channel, keep it; GovLive is the web half. If you already pay for a managed video service with a production crew, you have the managed version of this, and GovLive is not built to replace it. If you have Zoom, YouTube and a clerk, this is for you.

Opening to founding cities soon.
